2017 National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM)

The National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) occurs annually during October.  It’s a national initiative to promote cyber security awareness among the entire population not just cyber professionals.  This year’s NCSAM committee has put together a series of events to reach out to all segments of the community to include schools, colleges, and Scott AFB personnel (see attached flyer).

The Cyber Banquet on Thu, 26 Oct, highlights the month long series of events with General Darren McDew, USTRANSCOM/CC, as the guest speaker.

Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association

Proudly invites you to our Annual Scholarships and Grants Awards Banquet where we will honor exceptional local area high school and college students pursuing degrees in the fields of STEM!

Last year the chapter awarded $40,000 in scholarships to 13 outstanding recipients – one being our evening’s keynote speaker, Ms. Olivia Martin. Ms. Martin is a student at Washington University in St. Louis majoring in the challenging field of Biomedical Engineering. She will provide insight to her fellow scholarship winners on lessons learned during her transition from high school to college and how the AFCEA Scholarship has helped her to continue pursuing her academic and professional goals. Please join us in this special opportunity to recognize and congratulate these future STEM leaders for their achievements!
