The National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) occurs annually during October.  It’s a national initiative to promote cyber security awareness among the entire population not just cyber professionals.  This year’s NCSAM committee has put together a series of events to reach out to all segments of the community to include schools, colleges, and Scott AFB personnel (see attached flyer).

The Cyber Banquet on Thu, 26 Oct, highlights the month long series of events with General Darren McDew, USTRANSCOM/CC, as the guest speaker.

AN IMPORTANT REMINDER CONCERNING RESERVATIONS:

The Scott-St. Louis chapter registration process allows our Military/Government members to participate in the on-line registration process concurrently with our Corporate Sponsors. This single RSVP deadline provides AFCEA the visibility to release the remainder of seats to the Chapter for guest seating to include additional Military/Government attendance.  Corporate sponsor attendees must still individually register at the web site for each event. Sponsoring a table does not guarantee individual seats at the luncheon

Ms. Martin is a student at Washington University in St. Louis majoring in the challenging field of Biomedical Engineering. She will provide insight to her fellow scholarship winners on lessons learned during her transition from high school to college and how the AFCEA Scholarship has helped her to continue pursuing her academic and professional goals.
